Incursion: Golden Ridge Farm (Kinder)

A ‘Golden Ridge Animal Farm’ incursion has been planned for your child’s class at school on Wednesday 2 August. This incursion relates to the Science unit of work being studied by Kindergarten about the needs of living things. The incursions will involve 25-30 animals, including:

· hen and rooster

· chicks

· ducklings

· rabbits

· baby lambs

· baby goats.

Students will be able to pat, hand feed, and brush the small animals. The farmers will ask the students about the animals - what are their needs, what sounds they make, and products they give us. The students will be able to ask the farmers any questions they may have. The visit will give students the opportunity to see, hear and experience things we cannot provide at school. The cost of the incursion is $17 per child. Please complete and return the permission slip online.

We are looking forward to an amazing day of learning about the needs of living things and having a lot of fun interacting with the farm animals.
