YMCA Dee Why OSHC operates out of the school hall at Dee Why Public School.
We provide Before and After School Care services to children aged 5-12 years.
We encourage children to develop at their own pace, make friends and feel safe, to offer a place where children are treated as individuals, needs are met and children's ideas are encouraged.
Children develop a strong sense of identity and wellbeing, are connected and contribute to their world, are confident and involved learners and develop effective communication skills. We support and encourage children to learn through play, offering opportunities that are meaningful to children and support their learning and development.
The children's interests are the foundations of our programs. We encourage children to be involved in interesting and exciting play experiences and explore their talents and potential. Children enjoy, different team sports, dancing, indoor discussions and activities, such as art and craft.
We inspire all children to engage in healthy lifestyles. We offer breakfast and afternoon tea in accordance with healthy eating guidelines. We also encourage children to participate in outdoor active play.
Our Educators pride themselves on the high level of supervision that is provided at our centre. Educators are governed by policies that are available to parents at any time. Child protection is our highest priority.
