Kindy Update

Kindy

Kindergarten have enjoyed another busy and exciting term of learning!

We started off Term 3 celebrating 100 days of school with a day full of fun activities in our Kindy classrooms. We decorated biscuits with Mrs V, played Maths games focusing on 100 and made special crowns to wear. It’s amazing to see the progress of our students after only 100 days of learning.

It was then on to preparations for our Carnivale cultural celebration. Our fabulous SISA teachers taught us a dance, Mambo number 5. We had to work hard to learn all the steps and dance in unison. Many of our students also performed cultural dances in beautiful traditional costumes and it was wonderful to see them shine on stage in front of our school community.

We are proud of our students who all worked hard this term to create a speech, ‘My culture and me’ and present it to their class. Congratulations to the class finalists, who spoke so confidently in front of a large audience at the Public Speaking Finals. This is a huge achievement at such a young age.

Next term, we will welcome new students who will join our school in 2025 at our 'Getting Ready for School' sessions over three weeks on 22 October, 30 October and 7 November from 9.30am-11am. The children will take part in orientation sessions in our Kindergarten classrooms.  A Parent Information Session will be held in the hall on Wednesday 30 October at 9.45am and we encourage any families with students starting next year to attend.  Families can also register for our 'Getting to Know You' playgroup sessions.

We look forward to a relaxing break and an enjoyable final term in Kindergarten.
