We played at the Festival of Instrumental Music at the Opera House!
On Thursday 27th June, the Stage 3 String Orchestra students performed at the Sydney Opera House as part of the annual Festival of Instrumental Music. It was a very big day that started with a combined Strings rehearsal, then a sound check and combined rehearsal with the Recorder students in the Concert Hall, then an extended dinner break with family. The concert commenced at 7pm, and it was a huge success!
Our String students performed and behaved beautifully throughout the day, showcasing all their hard work and dedication to the FOIM repertoire throughout the year. It was such a privilege to have participated, and our students demonstrated their gratitude through the respect they showed each other and to the organisers.
Well done, DWPS String students! Here's hoping we are invited back next year.
